Antares Defence Systems Ltd, the designer and manufacturer of RF power amplifier and subsystems, has announced its acquisition of EpsilonRF. This strategic move brings together the joint capabilities of both companies in the areas of RF power amplifiers, RF subsystems, receivers, high power switching, firmware and software creating a large extended range of products and design capabilities, as well as a world-class ISO 9001 manufacturing site.
Antares Defence Systems Ltd is a privately owned business which was formed to address the specific requirements for the defence sector for RF power amplifiers and RF subsystems used in electronic warfare and communication. Their capability incorporates the design, manufacture and ‘in-system’ creation of leading-edge RF PAs and subsystems that pushes the boundaries of technology.
Antares Managing Director Bruce Fullerton summarises this strategic acquisition as follows: “I have admired EpsilonRF and founder Lee Pomeroy’s capabilities and products for the past few years as Lee built an impressive range of products, capabilities and customers. This acquisition is part of Antares on-going expansion programme to grow the platform of capabilities for our customers around the world and we look forward to continued growth next year.”
The company operates from bespoke premises in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire. As well as being an ISO9001/2015 accredited production facility of about 10000sq ft, they are also specifically adapted for the business requirements of an ESD environment from developing prototypes, to operating a high volume manufacturing production capability.
Antares Defence Systems has supplied high power devices in volume for use in systems deployed by the defence forces of the UK and USA, so their products are field-proven in harsh environments such as Iraq and Afghanistan. For more information please visit http://antaresdefencesystems.com/.
