TDK-Lambda announces the introduction of the 480W rated DRB480-24-1 DIN rail mount AC-DC power supply with a power density of 6 Watts per cubic inch. Featuring a narrow width, the DRB480 is ideally suited for enclosures and cabinets where space is at a premium. With an average efficiency of greater than 87%, the DRB480 meets ErP standards.
Housed in a robust metal enclosure, the DRB480 has a depth of 124mm, a height of 125mm and a width of 84mm. The power supply can operate from a wide range 90 – 264Vac input allowing use globally. The DRB480-24-1 has 24V 20A output and features a DC OK signal in addition to an LED indicator. The output can be adjusted from 24 – 26.4V to compensate for series blocking diodes or FETs in redundant configurations.
The input to output isolation is 3000Vac, input to ground 1500Vac and the output to ground is 500Vac. The DRB is convection cooled and is rated for operation in -20 to +70°C ambient temperatures (cold start at -30°C), with linear derating above 50°C to 62.5% load at 70°C. Electrolytic capacitor temperatures have been carefully considered to ensure their life is greater than 7 years in a 40°C ambient at 230Vac input, with 75% load, operating 24 hours a day.
The unit is certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1, UL 508, and is CE marked for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives. It meets EN55011-B, EN55022-B, CISPR11-B, CISPR22-B, EN61204-3 Class A radiated and conducted emissions, and complies with both EN 61000-3-2 Class A harmonic currents and EN61000-4 immunity standards.
